CINEXPÉRIMENTAUX: A MEETING WITH ABIGAIL CHILD
Directed by Michel Amarger & Frédérique Devaux
Part of Michel Amarger and Frédérique Devaux's ongoing series of documentary portraits of those who further the cause of experimental cinema in the 21st century (other subjects have included the filmmakers Nicolas Rey, Rose Lowder, and Stephen Dwoskin, as well as scholars, distributors, and curators such as Vivian Ostrovsky, Pip Chodorov, the Light Cone cooperative, and others), A MEETING WITH ABIGAIL CHILD represents a deep dive into the life and work of Child. Encompassing several in-depth interviews, copious footage from her films past and present, and revealing glimpses of the artist at work, the documentary is an essential supplement to Child's own filmography.
