Signals in the Distance is a selection of works that explore isolation, disconnection, life at the margins, and the search for belonging. The films interrogate what happens when people withdraw, are left alone, set adrift, or pulled away from the lives they knew. There are fragile, unexpected forms of connection and togetherness that can emerge through uncertainty, dependence, abandonment, and chance encounters.
